2nd Event Held in 2012 WSOP Delmarva Group |

One of the two females in the 2012 WSOP Delmarva Group is off to a good start for a chance to play in the 2012 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in July.
Angela McCleary placed 3rd in week one and 1st in week 2 for a total of 38 out of 40 points.
Here is the break down after 2 of 10 events..... Remember, players use 8 of their top 10 finishes.
20 points for 1st place, 19 for 2nd and so on is how the points are calculated.

Local 2012 WSOP Group Begins Play |

UPDATE: The first of ten 2012 WSOP Qualifying Tournaments were held today at the firehouse in Girdletree. 20 local players comprise the group known as the "Delmarva Player's Group". The series is points based with the winner getting their $10,000 WSOP Buyin and $3,500 in expense money.
The 20 players, who contribute $100 each tournament, are Angela Mc, Michele S., Jeff Mc, Rick N, Pat L, Stanley A, Guy E 3rd, Guy E. 4th, Dan B, Jeff L, Frank F, Frank D, Frank W, RJ H, Greg B, Chris Mc, Gordon Mc, James B, Chuck S, & Mike M
Cards were in the air at 10:50, after the "contract signing" and the final table was reached at 2:20PM. Heads up was played for almost an hour and half. The last hand was dealt at 4:30PM when the blinds were $3/6,000. A total of $240,000 of chips were in play. The final 3 also got paid. But players are more worried about the points. Friday Night Tournament This Friday in Girdletree |

UPDATE: Saturday, January 21, 2012 @ 2AM - 45 Players with 10 Reseats entered this tournament. First place was $1,270 with four more places paid, $780, $480, $130 & $100. Play concluded at 2AM when they reached 4 players with the following chop. 1st Place with over 2/3 of the chips was Tommy C who took 1st Place and $1,150. Angela Mc, Brad F. and OJ H. each took $430, Kevin T was 5th for $100 and Rick N was the bubble and took $60.
This Friday Night the Girdletree Volunteer Fire Company is holding a "Rare" Friday night charity poker tournament. The buyin is $80 with $60 going towards the prize. Players will receive $12,000 in chips and the blinds will be 20 minutes. Arrive before 7PM and get $3,000 in bonus chips. Doors open at 6PM. Buyin includes drinks and snacks. Salisbury VFW is holding a $150 Deep Stacks buyin charity poker tournament today, Saturday, January 14th. Players get $30,000 in chips, 30 Minute Blinds and a great lunch for their buyin. Salisbury Moose Members Play in National Moose Poker Tournament |

 UPDATE 1/11/12 - Trudy D. Placed 41st out of over 800 players and won $900 in the 3rd Annual National Moose Poker Tournament. 1st Place paid $16,000.
Several local Salisbury Moose Members have traveled to play in the 3rd Annual National Moose Poker Tournament in Las Vegas at the Golden Nugget. Players who went play in this event are Rick N, Alex B, Trudy D, Frank D, Paul B, Marty F, Bill I, Jeff R, and Bill W. Everyone here at DCP would like to wish this players good luck. Update - January 7, 2012 @ 8PM - 46 Players, 11 Reseats & 29 Addons made at $4,600 prize pool with a 1st place prize of $2,100. They were paying 5 places. Play concluded when they got to 5 players and the bubble "old" man Greeny went out in 6th. The five did the following chop. Michelle S., Hunter C., and Ernie E. each got $1,200 and Trish A. and Scott H. each took $375. Last hand was dealt at 7:45 after the tournament started at 11:10AM.
Saturday, January 7, 2012 - Cambridge Elks, $125 Buyin ($90 towards the prize), $20,000 in chips, 30 Minute blinds. Optional $25 Addon after the 5 level for $15,000 in chips Door open at 9AM for $35 SNG's. Tournament begins at 11AM.

UPDATE: Thursday, December 22, 2011 @ 9PM - 69 Players with 17 Reseats made the VFW's Annual Christmas Party and Tournament very nice. (Winners posted as soon as Jeff R. submits the information) The Salisbury VFW is holding their Annual Christmas Party and Tournament this Thursday night at 7PM. Food will be served at 6:30PM with the $80 buyin tournament beginning at 7PM. $10,000 in tournament chips with 20 minute blinds. No rebuys or addons, but reseats through level 6.
